Trauma influences how we engage, communicate, and function in the world of work. Through a trauma-informed, integrative approach, TIP helps us understand how your histories live in your work life—and how healing can restore confidence, clarity, and connection.
Valerie Ashley, M.S., LPC
Seeking therapy often means you’re carrying something heavy — whether it’s anxiety, grief, depression, or the lasting effects of trauma. My role is to provide a safe, supportive space so you don’t have to carry it alone.
Together, we’ll honor your experiences while focusing on the steps you want to take moving forward. My approach is trauma-informed, trauma-responsive, and person-centered, meaning I adapt therapy to your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.
I believe healing happens in relationship — It’s an honor to witness and safeguard your repair.
How We’ll Work Together
We’ll always start with a free consultation. It’s a chance to get a feel for each other, discuss some basics, and see whether what I offer lines up with what you’re looking for and what you need. Together, we’ll create a space where your experiences are met with compassion and curiosity, not judgment. From that foundation, we’ll explore how trauma has shaped the way you move through your life and work, and we’ll begin restoring your sense of steadiness, connection, and possibility.
Healing happens in a relationship. In our work, we’ll examine how past experiences may still live in the body and influence the way you show up in your relationships and in the world. This process isn’t about rushing toward change; it’s about building safety, integration, and a renewed sense of agency that allows your authentic self to emerge.
“The voices we grew up with become the ones inside our heads. If you were raised in chaos, of course you learned doubt, people-pleasing, or feeling “too much.”
You’re not broken—you adapted. Healing is unlearning what hurt you and practicing a kinder way forward. And, you don’t have to do it alone.”
